SUMMARY:
When we talk about CLARITY, we’re talking about something that’s hugely wide-reaching, is essential to get to grips with if you want to make progress and is ABSOLUTELY fundamental to all of the processes, techniques and strategies that we talk about on the Monday Motivation podcast episodes.

The thing we’re going to be discussing here today is CLARITY… I talk about it all the time but what is it and how is it different to FOCUS, which is something else I mention regularly?
What does it mean to us?
How do we get it and, most important of all - why should we care about it?
First up then, what is clarity? What does it mean to us in terms of our journey?
CLARITY is what you need to get, to be able to set your end goals… It’s about you taking a long, deep look inside yourself and working out what it really is that drives you and what you REALLY want to achieve…
So how does CLARITY differ from FOCUS for us? Well, let’s take an everyday example to try and outline this for ourselves… When you get into your car, you have a starting place and a destination. You know where you are, right now. When we get on the road and start travelling, we use a map or our GPS to get us from where we are to where you want to be and this is where the CLARITY comes in for us… CLARITY is where you want to be, where you're aiming to be in the future… At the end of your journey. Whereas Focus is slightly different, because it’s what you need to do, the tasks you need to complete to get the car to its destination.
Since 2013 when I started mentoring and teaching people in the drone industry, you can see and recognise in the first hour of chatting to someone, if they’re going to be successful if they’re going to be around in the future and crushing it… If they’re going to go on to become thought-leaders in the space or if they’re going to lead expanding companies, bringing in massive contracts and taking on new pilots all the time… Because they’re the ones who have the most CLARITY. They’re the ones with the vision and the drive and the determination to get their destination CLEAR in their heads BEFORE they start learning and buying new kit. They’re the ones who don’t jump onto the next big thing every 12 months when DJI launch a new drone.
They’ve realised that the best way to achieve success, whatever that looks like to them, is to gain CLARITY on what they want to achieve… Then they use this to help them craft and create their journey towards their ultimate goal.
So, how can you start to gain more clarity? Clarity that you can then go on to use, to help you set goals that actually matter to you and help you build this positive forward momentum that I mention so often?
- Question number one… What are the 5 most important things in your life right now?
- Question number two… What are the 5 things that you’re incredible at? What are your superpowers?
- Question number three… What 5 things would you want to be REMEMBERED FOR?

Hey there, it’s Matt Williams, I am The Drone Mentor and welcome to this week’s Monday Motivation Podcast!
Hey there, it’s Matt Williams & welcome the start of a new week another set of opportunities for us to continue in our mission together, to learn, build and grow… Not just in the drone world but on what is our mission to continually LEARN about ourselves, BUILD your knowledge of what it means to be you AND to grow your understanding of how to achieve the success you deserve and desire.
In this week’s podcast, we’re taking a look at something that’s hugely wide reaching, is essential to get to grips with if you want to make progress and is ABSOLUTELY fundamental to all of the processes, techniques and strategies that we talk about here on the Monday Motivation podcast episodes.
But, just before we get into this week’s main topic, as I always try to do on the Monday Motivation podcast, I want to just take a moment to celebrate you, to give you a virtual pat on the back for being here and congratulate you for taking the time, your most precious resource, to spend it with me, right now and committing to your own personal development, to growing as a person, learning about yourself and becoming the best version of you that you can be.
In this moment, I’m just going to encourage you to take a few second to reflect back on what you’re proud of in the last week… What do you look back at and think; yeah - that put a big smile on my face or yeah, that made a big difference to me or to someone else?
Whenever you’re listening to this episode, just take a second, right now, to take a long deep breath and to think about something you’ve achieved since the last episode… And how that served you in your journey towards achieving your goal… The thing you’ve set out to achieve, the thing that you’ve written down as your goal for 12, 24, 36 months time and that’s guiding you every day as you take steps, some small, some huge, towards it.
Then, once you’ve thought about that and where you’re headed, I want you to take a few minutes, straight after this podcast, to write down 3 things you’re going to try to achieve this week that help you build momentum and move you towards your overall goals and your future success.
Then, drop me a line, either privately via email [email protected] or into our private facebook group, for which you can find a link on the drone mentor.com homepage and let us know what you’re going to DO this week, to make a difference to your life, to start to gain clarity and make progress…
Now, that segues me very nicely into the thing we’re going to think about, to learn about and to work on today and throughout this week…
This, wide-reaching, fundamental concept I mentioned at the beginning of the episode, that we need to really get to grips with if we’re going to leverage our skills and our talents. If we’re going to use our time wisely and efficiently and if we’re going to be able to go on the CORRECT journey towards our ultimate goals.
Does that make sense?
Now, WE talk about success all the time, throughout the coaching, the training, the teaching I do with you all at The Drone Mentor… But what does success LOOK like to YOU? How do you frame it and WHY do you frame it in that way?
Is it earning a million bucks a year? Is it driving around in a Ferrari and having an epic beach house? Is it having a family or paying off your mortgage? ALL of us have a different thing that we think of, when we consider and think about what success looks like to us… So, part of this exploration we’re thinking about today and throughout this week is WHAT does success look like to me? What would it mean for me to be successful? How clear are you on what that looks like for you, how much CLARITY do you have surrounding YOUR success?
The MORE clarity we can gain, the more we can dial in to ourselves to be sure of the outcome and the goals we’re looking to achieve and the easier it is for us to set the journey for us to our destination.
Once we have clarity on where we are, right now and where we want to be in the future, at our destination… The clearer the route becomes… The more targeted we can be with the steps on our journey, in that GPS that we’ve got, guiding us to our destination and the easier, more enjoyable and more satisfying the journey becomes.
Without CLARITY, we’ll go off on all sorts of tangents, we’ll be looking at the next big thing or jumping onto the next big thing, we’ll be buying into the new drone technology that's coming out because the camera’s better, so it’ll make us more money or take a better picture, right?
Without CLARITY, you’ll be a lifelong dabbler and not a doer… Your head will be turned whenever something shiny pops onto your radar and you’ll run out of gas, you’ll run out of money, you’ll run out of TIME BEFORE you reach your destination… Your goals.

- Question number two… What are the 5 things that you’re incredible at? What are your superpowers?
- Question number three… What 5 things would you want to be REMEMBERED FOR?
Once you’ve done this, let me know how much CLARITY you feel you have by dropping into The Drone Mentor Facebook Community or by sending me a personal email to [email protected] and if you’re struggling to find CLARITY to bring this into your life or to get to grips with it, then come join our group or one-on-one coaching courses when they’re live and enrollment is open… Where we spend an entire session taking a deep dive into this concept and how to gain more CLARITY in your life.
With that, that’s all for this week - I hope you have a great 7 days and are able to make the most of the opportunity that each morning brings.
Until next time my friend,
Fly safe & blue skies,
Matt
